Posting because one JUST HAPPENED:

At 529 PM EDT… National Weather Service Doppler radar continued to indicate a tornado. This tornado was located near Park Slope… or near Verrazano-Narrows bridge… moving east at 30 mph.

Saw it out my window! Anyone else in Brooklyn right now?

  1. bad-postcards said: Edge of Cobble Hill. Saw it coming in from Jersey. Heard tornado warning on the radio. Then it got dark and scary for a few minutes. Almost shoved the cats in the carrier to run down from my top floor brownstone apartment. Then it suddenly stopped.

  3. xavs42 said: I’m in Marine Park (the neighborhood) right now, I didn’t see any, but I’m pretty sure there were a couple of lightning strikes on the trees down the block in Marine Park (the park). Rained pretty hard, the clouds were a weird green color.
